Testing a motherboard with several bent socket pins?

I've tried doing some research on my question, but I'm finding mixed answers.

I have a motherboard that I bent the pins on, and I straightened the 2-3 pins back out, and almost exactly where they need to be. My question...

Will I damage my CPU if I test the socket and see if it's ok?

It's a n00b mistake... and I own up to it.

if the pins are bent and doing unproper contact, well, it might also short the mainboard, or perhaps just won't work and you will end up buying a new motherboard

the question is, are you willing to take the risk?

kill two and buy two parts again?

forget your pride for a moment and get another mainboard

if it is too bent, better safe than sorry, get another mainboard and take your time next time, don't bend it again

you can kee it as your personal project, revive it some day, or keep it as art in the wall, they look nice on the wall

Yeah, I mean, I don't have a cheap CPU to test it with lol. I have a Xeon E3-1241 and while I am trying to sell it, wrecking the cpu would really suck 🙁

lol, sorry, I just did that to see if anyone would notice where the pins were bent from there... I'll see if I can edit and circle, but from the picture, bottom left corner area...
