S.O.S. I have an I7 SR..... 3.5Ghz Intel CPU that worked with a Gigabyte X299-UD4 motherboard. From extensive testing, I believe the mobo is dead, but I also believe the CPU still works. Since the cost is so high ($900), and it might still work, I do not want to discard it prematurely. I'd buy a new motherboard if I could be assured that the CPU still works - can anyone help me determine that ?

If MB is indeed dead, only way to test CPU is to plug it in a known good and compatible system.
PS. What makes you sure that MB is dead ?
