Testing new PC but the screen won't run on

Hi,

I just built a new rig today and I tested it by connecting the PSU to power and connecting the PC to the monitor via DisplayPort. When I turn it on, everything works: the GPU, the fans, the motherboard. I can tell because all the lights go on and the fans spin and stuff but the screen does not go on. I've been up for three hours trying to figure this out. I thought I put in HDD LED and like those things incorrectly but I didn't because I redid it correctly and it still didn't work. I don't know what's wrong. Please help me anyone! Everything works but the screen won't turn on!!! I've been up for hours and it's 2am and I just can't do anything anymore so I'm consulting help.

Ok I had this problem also while installing my new GPU a while ago. You need to check and see if your Mobo has integrated graphics on it, if so take out the GPU and boot up your system, disable the onboard graphics and plug the GPU back in. While you are in without the GPU plugged in you should also try to install any drivers you may need for the GPU. Hope this helped!

Aahhhh yes. Disable your default graphics in BIOS and than insert GPU it should automatically run off the GPU.

I don't know why some motherboards haven't gone to this technology automatically, but I guess it's what you get when you pay for it!

Is there a way to run on integrated graphics temporarily to disable it with my GPU connected and then just switch my DisplayPort to the GPU after because there is no way I can totally disconnect the GPU from my motherboard without taking apart a shit ton of stuff.

You could try running an HDMI or DVI cable to your monitor temporarily from your motherboard but I'm not sure that will work, you may have to take the GPU out because it is trying to process the integrated graphics and the cards graphics at the same time which does not work. Best of luck

I tried taking out the GPU and putting DisplayPort through the mono then but it still didn't work.

Tried another video output?

Both 8pin + 24pin connected to the motherboard?
If having four ram slots use the slots 2+4 from the cpu out.

Yeah both are connected and I have a Mini ITX so there are two ram spots and I have my ram sticks in both.

Should I unplug the sata connections from the ssd and hdd so I could boot the windows disc and then plug them back in to select them through the process? Would that work?

Yes I tried HDMI too and... nada

Is there a local shop that can update the bios/uefi with a cheap cpu that's supported all the way.
What are the latest four digits on the product sticker? I think it's on this one.
