Testing your cpu

How do you know what your cpu is running at? I know there are tests, but I do not know where they are. I want to know how my ahtlon 64 3500 is actually performing.

Are you looking for Benchmarks or Temperature monitors? Sounds like Benchmarks, there are alot of things out there to test your CPU, you can use SiSoftware Sandra to test all sorts of things, In-Game TimeDemo's (that's more GPU though), just google CPU Benchmarks and you'll find alot of things.

It sounds to me much more like actual rate monitor. Maybe he just wants to see the clockspeed in a random moment.

Yes that is correct, I don't have the need to know the temperature.
