Good day all,

I know there has been countless of topics about this question but please bear with me since I'm really struggling trying to find out if this piece of software would benefit me or not.

I have a single HDD (not a SSD) in AHCI mode and running Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit. Reading the description of Rapid Storage Technology on Intel's website, I find that the only thing that benefits me is that it uses NCQ on single AHCI HDD which would increase performance.

After reading a bit more about NCQ, I find that having Windows 8 and a storage device in AHCI mode already enables NCQ automatically even without installing Intel's Rapid Storage driver.

Now the question: If the above is true, would there be any other benefits from this RST driver on a single AHCI HDD system?
