Hi all,
I have to buy an external hard drive quickly. I reached to 3 brands
Could you please help me that which one is the best option for my purpose?
thanks in advance
Purpose: Only back up data , maybe use 3-4 times yearly not more ,
Just I've read that second one(Ready) quipped with anti-shock
NOTE: Security features and pre-built software for backup does not matter as I have to store my data in several place .

1- Seagate expansion 2 T
2-Toshiba Canvio Ready 2 T
3-ADATA HV620s 2 T
4-ADATA 710Pro 2 T

Hey there,

I have two of the HV620s (1TB) so I can only speak for them, and the Toshiba. They work flawlessly and have decent transfer rates (limited to HDD speeds).

I only today bought a 4tb Toshiba Canvio, which I'm loading up with files right now. It's very nice and speedier than the HVs for sure, IMO. That could be to do with a bigger cache.

It's also quite well priced. The 4tb was only €110 euros (Europe/Ireland), so well priced for the space you get. It seems to be reviewed quite well.

Thank you .
Which one has the best features against the external and unexpected situations like protecting against the hitting , shock, noise , shaking ?
How many years have you been using ADATA and Toshiba ? do they reliable in keeping data for long term if protected well ?

The HV620s are running my plex server for last 3 years. Never a single issue.

The Toshiba is only new. I got it today. Currently transferring files to it. It has good review, so I'm happy so far. The model I have is the Toshiba Canvio Basics 4tb.

In terms of reliability, the HV's have never lost data or had any issue at all. Still going strong.

Thank you for your response.
Just you mean that your ADATA has been working continuously without stop ? 24 hours 7 days till you have bought it ?
