The best IPS display for gtx 980 ti (used for gaming too)

All right, so out of curiosity I've asked people what screen resolution is the best for gtx 980 ti and some say it's 4K and some say the sweet spot is 1440p. Personally I think 1440p would be enough for me since a few people claimed the gpu wouldn't be able to handle games on ultra at 4K. I dunno, I have never played around with 4K but I know some of you have.

My question is, should I go look for a new display at 4K or would this 1440p display be enough: PA272W-BK. It's very important that it has an IPS panel. I don't play FPS games, mostly just MMORPGs, and I edit a lot of videos and do a lot of graphic work.

Seriously, this is such a good GPU that I hate to waste its power on my 1600x900 display.

yea, you'll just have to buy one $1000+ gpu, lol.
From all the benchmarks I've looked at on youtube 4k pushes any gpu at the moment.. None of them currently run a 4k really well, expect to turn your game settings down with a 4k monitor..

Look at the Korean monitors, Crossover 324k,404k final and 434k final, these are just suggestions, they get good reviews across several forums. The 324k is 32"@60hz adaptive sync and under $450. the 404k final is 40"@60hz, not sure of the price. think $650ish the 434k final is around $750..

I think they would be worth looking at...


I'm running an I5-6600k@4.4ghz and a Sapphire Nitro Fury@1060mhz I opted for a Crossover 32s, its 32" 2560x1440@75hz and adaptive sync for $439 from ebay seller named dream-seller.. It should get here this week.

Oh? Please do tell how everything runs on that display when it arrives and you've tested it. I'm really curious.
