once again i need your help

im looking for a new cpu cooler to replace the stock cooler that i have in my build right now.

i may get into overclocking but not right away.
so long story short: needs to be good, silence over cooling, but still "good cooling"

as a heatsink isn't the most expensive thing in the world the price doesn't really matter

plz help :) (im getting tired of my stock cooler,it's noisy!)

yeah, i have seen that one a couple times, but i have heard a lot of good stuff about the Noctua NH-D14.

since money isn't the problem here which one would be better?

Hi galbatorex,
So which cooler did you go for in the end and what were the pro's and con's? I'm really interested to hear if you found a really quiet solution.
Cheers,
Chris

i took a look around other forums and in the end i chose the H100 from corsair
pro's: it gives VERY low temperatures, which makes it great for overclocking
it has no comability issues with my case/mobo (cm storm stryker, msi G45)

con's: it was a bit more noisy than some of the top air-coolers, but once i switched out the stock coolers with 2 Noctua NF-F12 fans it was about the same (this kept my temps low while reducing the noise)

the reason i chose the H100 over the NH-D14 was that this case has a side window and it was gonna obstruct the view, also i would have had to take the heatspredder off of my ram dimm's
