This game can last forever, I know, but when do you decide that you're
done with a character? Is it after you've become a god? Is it after
you complete the main quests and the two expansions?

Just want you guys take on it.

Cheers.

Or, when I want to play a different character, when I can kill
everything so easily it is boring, when I've taken a break from the
game and can't recall what I was doing........

I start a new char if I install new plugins for Morrowind. So, I never get a
char too powerful to have fun 😉

I like that you can adjust the game difficulty while playing. Start it off
low, so you don't get slaughtered by the first Cliff Racer you run into, but
then when things start to get too easy, crank up the difficulty. Playing at
the maximum difficulty can still provide a challenge (in some places) for
the mid-high lvl character, and if you get mods that add more difficult
areas, you can keep a single character's shelf life considerably longer...

I'm done with a character when I decide I don't like *being* him and it's
time to reincarnate as someone else. Regardless of how much progress I've
made on quests. Poor little Elf-kid out of his depth... didn't last, he was
waaay too annoying with his whining. Pissed but stoic Melnibonean is
making choices he hates, but is lasting. Imperial fighter tank lasted only
as long as my stress on some day-job stuff, while I needed to kill
everything in sight. Godling Fighter-mage might have lasted, but he got
killed off by a corrupted game install.

I love morrowind. :)

Just when you're tired of that character and want to start a new
character, or play a different game (hint: DAGGERFALL!)
