[SOLVED] the computer is constantly resetting (ram problem)

A keyboard with ps / 2 input was not working .
I fixed the cable but after plugging it into the computer.
computer turned on and started to reset continuously after 1 second
When the ram was plugged into the other socket, the computer was turned on
If I plug in another working ps / 2 keyboard, will this ram socket also break?

Hoe to help if nobody knows HW particulars ? How did you "Fix" that cable, sounds like it has a short somewhere ?

There was a break in the keyboard cable. I disconnected and joined the cables

As I said before, you could still have a short somewhere else. RAM will not "break" because of bad KB. What happens when KB is not plugged in ?
Yes, another KB should work unless something was damaged by short.

Well yes, PS/2 connector or it's circuit can also be damaged. Don't you have any USB ports ?
