The CPU is going slow

HI guys my cpu is going very slow MY CPU is AMD E1-2500(1.4GHz) Dual Core 4 GB DDR3 L Memory and it s going very slow i have windows 8.1 on my laptop but i don't know what's wrong on my laptop CPU is going slow and the performance is like 12% 58% 99% for a second i dont' know what's happen can you tell me what to do ? and something my laptop know only 3.45 GB RAM are usable need answer ?

The AMD E-1 is one of the single worst processors to hit the market. That sounds like the normal performance for it. I have worked on hundreds of those cheap laptops. Adding some ram wont help much as the bottle neck is the processor.

First of all, it's an old slow processor, you're not going to change that no matter what you do.

Second, if you have a 32 bit OS installed, then about 3.5GB of RAM is all you're going to be able to use, period, but that's probably more than the system can utilize anyhow, so it really doesn't matter. You're CPU limited here, not memory limited, unless you're trying to run more things at once than the system can handle on the best of days.

Third, I'd download HWinfo or another utility and check your thermal/temperature readings. Sounds like maybe the unit is either getting hot and throttling the CPU speed or you have an infection. Make sure you have both a good antivirus and a good malware scanner installed, and run full system scans with both.

If the system is clean, then you're just stuck with the fact that the CPU performance you have with that unit is about equal to what was common six or seven years ago, and it isn't going to keep up well if you're multitasking or running demanding software.

Try perform some general system maintenance.

Download SuperAntiSpyware and MalwareBytes and do some scans for malware.
Perform a defragmentation of your HDD.
Download CCLeaner and check a couple of the boxes and then click analyze, to do another kind of scan.
Then go through your startup programs list and uncheck programs which you don't need to start.
You can also uninstall programs you don't need.

Just general maintenance. It's not exactly top-notch hardware you have, so you have to free up resources sometimes.

No No my windows is 8.1 64 bit now i just format and intall but again going slow. I bought the laptop on January its new but CPU i dont know what to do i change all windows like 10, 7 now i have 8.1 64 bit but cpu again go slow. For a second go on 99% in same second go 12% i dont know very bad

What you need to do, besides what we told you already, is not buy such low-end hardware.

How are you trying all these different operating systems on there? Are they pirated copies or what? I'm sure you don't just have unused licenses for all those versions of windows just sitting around waiting to be used, so are these torrented versions or what?

Just because it's new, it doesn't mean the technology in it is also new or even good. Dual-core itself is old.

Most would want a quad core at least. An i3 CPU for instance, has 2 logical cores and 2 physical ones.

Meaning it has 4 cores in total. That makes a difference.

No, we understand you. The point is, the AMD E-1 is a slow and bad processor. I dont care if you bought it yesterday, its still a slow bad processor. You cant go buy a golf cart because its cheap, and expect it to keep up with a sports car.

The E1-2500 was released in 2013. It was weak and slow then, 3 years ago, and it's even weaker and slower now. As mentioned, the fact that you just bought the unit has absolutely ZERO relevance as to it's capabilities and performance. I could buy a brand new, unused Pentium 4 from somebody who's had it sitting on a warehouse shelf for the last 15 years, that doesn't mean it's going to be capable of anything on modern software.

The unit you have is worthless for anything more than browsing the internet and running office applications, and I don't mean at the same time or with a lot of multiple browser tabs open. I'm very sorry for the fact that you didn't get what you thought you were buying, but what you have isn't much better, and is in fact worse, than the majority of phones available currently. Even most phones and tablets currently being sold have a faster processor with two more cores than what that thing has.
