I’m totally confused which monitor to buy for the below build. I would like to play at 1440p gaming res, and benefit from the better visuals but I’m worried that it will lag or struggle with frame rate. If anyone has a similar build can you confirm what resolution you are playing in mostly?
I mainly play FPS games like fortnite, battlefield V, Tom Clancy ghost recon, Call of Duty, GTA.
I was thinking of going for 1440p but I’ve heard that if I get a 1440p monitor and change to 1080p the graphics looks terrible.
So my question is:
Should I buy a 1440p monitor and just reduce the settings (Medium) of the game to get better FPS (will medium or low 1440p settings still look better than 1080p high settings?)
or should I buy a 4K and then play in 1080p which will probably look better in scaling to lower resolution?
Final choice, just buy good 1080p monitor and play on ultra settings and be done with it and then upgrade when I can afford a better monitor or system?
So confused!! Help
My build:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon 5700 XT
MSI B450 Gaming pro carbon motherboard
16GB RAM
