im just wondering what you all think about tes becoming an mmo. i personally have a few concerns about this. i really dont want this if its just another run of the mill mmo, or if the numbered entries stop coming out. i would like this if there is real time combat, pvp with full loot, and the quest structure stays simular, no go here, collect 10 this and kill 5 that. i really dont know about this, what are all your thoughts?

I predict this to be the buggiest MMO ever released, and to tarnish the Elder Scrolls franchise in a way that will make the facial renders in Oblivion seem appealing by comparison. Really this sounds like an awful idea. Even worse that their timetable for building and releasing it is apparently 12 months (not that it will be done in 12 months, but that they even think that's a realistic amount of time to develop an MMO).

Skyrim is buggy as, one of the best games I have ever played though. I have high hopes for the game, hopes being the key word. I doubt it will be a bad game, though I also doubt its the next wow

Goodness, quite a bit of negativity here. The beautiful thing about this is that no one is required to play it. If you do not like it or do not want it, then dontplay it. I will give it a good honest effort, and like I have with many games in the past, will simply stop playing it if I do not enjoy it. Ive done that with Bulletstorm, Brink, Two Worlds, and more.

There is no way Bathesda is going to stop making the single player versions, they just make way too much money with it.

As long as the single player versions keep coming, I see no issue.

The MMO may not even be very Elder scrolls like either. They may just take the world and history, and apply a typical MMORPG game system. I would be surprised if they make it possible to choose any skill combination you want, like the TES games.
