The EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 where does the air flow to? Internal or external? Just wondering as it will make

Solution
like a reference blower style it sucks air in to the card from the case and out the back of the card [more directional ] aftermarket just draws air from in the case through the cooler fins and expels it out all over / anywhere it can from the cards shroud so case air flow is more important for expelling hot case air out of the case [opinion]

Thanks I was sorta sure about that, but wanted to confirm. I am trying to figure out which case to buy. Had seen significant internal temps rise in my roommates PC

cant say so many thing can affect overall cooling ? if your worried about the card look over something like the evga's hybrid should be out soon in the 1000 series ?

look at how ambient room air temps can affect cooling as well all the best cooling in the world aint going to overcome a hot room temps ???

anyway good luck

just to add

I bought the Thermaltake Suppressor F31 case. I mounted my 1070 in the lowest x16 slot and put a fan on the bottom blowing up directly at the cards intake fan. It dropped my card temps by and average of 15 deg cel under full load.
