For my current build I have selected the EVGA SuperNova 750w G2. After reading a couple of reviews I am now concerned. People have mentioned it arriving DOA or that it made their components duds. Reviews I read were from Amazon and Newegg. Is there another modular PSU you would recommend?

Retailer reviews aren't very helpful because (and there's a load of research on this) people complain more and are less objective if they have a bad experience. It's totally understandable, and if their experiences are consistent or relate to poor service from the retailer then they can be really useful.

All electronics are going to have the odd blip of a DOA unit, and most countries in the world have some sort of consumer protection surrounding "goods fit for purpose", so you should have a decent level of protection should you be unfortunate.

Pretty much all of the reviews for the Supernova G2s (including the 750W) as well as the platform on which it is based, the Superflower Leadex Gold, are exceptional. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
