Just checking in to affirm that I'm still alive! I'm doing alright, been working and working out a lot lately. I lost about 15 pounds and I'm starting to see definition in my abs and all my clothes from my early 20's are starting to fit again! So that's good I guess. I've gotten back into the live music scene, something that was hard to do before in my situation. Well not that it was hard to do, but Cara would have never let me stay out until 2am several nights a week. That might seem like it would hurt my professional life but it turns out I don't require a whole lot of sleep! In fact, I feel better when I get 5 hours instead of 8.

I still miss her and her kiddos, but life is much less stressful now. Just need a little more time I think.

Tell me your secrets to loose weight. My problem is that I am too lazy to get up and move... untill I run to the bus everyday...
5 Foot 11 Inches, 200 pounds(still have a few growth spurts apparently...). Most of it is the wrong type of weight(body weight, not muscle)

Really? Then which one did I have? Must have been the E6600. Long day.

I recently discovered that it's better to work out the same muscle every other day rather than every day. I was doing biceps practically every day and now that I do it every other day they've gained a ton of strength.

I'm starting a diet this week, it is gonna suck but will be worth it once I really start losing weight.

I know that working out actually increases your weight. I am like 140Lbs myself. I used to be thin but have gained meat and muscle. I am not tall either.

I eat mostly chicken and veggies and sometimes grill steaks. I rarely (sometimes) eat fastfood with friends, but not too often. Believe it or not, once you are in decent shape and eating properly, eating fastfood makes you feel noticeably bad the next day.

I'd get back into tennis, but I am way to fat and don't have time thanks to AP Work, Volunteering, Summer School, and SAT...

For the record, I went to two doctor's offices last week. Both pegged me at 5 foot 10.5 and 5 foot 11.... The nurses are all shorter than me.... I hope that was an underestimate...

Bossy - Cant see your avatar.

D34th - I played tennis last semester.....WORST SEMESTER EVER! I was one of the best players and I enjoyed it some days but I love baseball so..i wish i had played baseball.....but...you know...

I did lose weight though. And bossy, Im probably losing a lot of weight too....1/2 a pound a day would be 15 pounds a month and that is great

It takes one hour for mod approval I think.

I am around 5'9" and 170 lbs, so I could probably do with about 10 lbs. less.
IMHO, diet is key. Give up all machine-poop (trans-fats, which are industrial waste, not a food). Portion control is at least as important as counting carbs. You can eat most anything that is healthy; the human digestive tract is omnivorous, from the types and number of teeth, to the length and complexity of the bowels. Just don't eat too much of it. I am forced to eat very slowly, which helps a lot, since in the 20-30 minutes it takes the brain to realize the stomach is full, I've not packed down too much more.
I've been trying to be more active, adding a little (but not yet enough) PT to my day. Five to ten minutes of it needs to be half an hour to an hour.
