I just noticed that this morning, my work's internet has been open for people to join in, and use it. Going into my linksys router settings, and I cannot put a password on WPA personal, or WPA2 personal. The only security mode that I can put a password on to, is WEP. As far as I know, WEP can be cracked pretty easily. Do I need a new router? Or am I doing something wrong?

Edit: I think I got it back working. Hopefully it'll stay working normally.

Joke right? I have tons of friends with 2400 SAT scores (some multiple times) that didn't get into a single Ivy League let alone get any kind of full/part ride/scholarship.

Hell. I got a 2160 and that wasn't even good enough to get into plenty of schools.

The SAT is easy. Don;t get the wrong idea. I am not some brainy guy. In highschool I was a locally sponsored skateboarder who also street raced a car he built himself. Most of my friends were either skate punks or car guys.

By the end of my senior year most of us had either been arrested at least once or had run-ins with the cops. We were the kids that would cut class on a Monday morning to go to IHOP and show up after 3rd period. BUT we were also the kids who took mostly AP and GT classes and got good grades/test scores and worked HARD when it counted. We were the kids that would be out until 3am on a school night racing cars, but were up until 3am the next day studying for AP exams.

You CAN have fun, be a bit reckless (as is important for every teenager to do), and succeed academically/ get somewhere in life. It is all about balance. Most all of us went to good colleges and got degrees and have great jobs that pay well. One of my friends who got arrested during summer between junior and senior year actually ended up getting into Brown. He was arguably the most successful out of all of us. He is now pursuing his Masters in Biology.

We did live in one of the best school districts in the nation, and this probably had ALOT to do with us succeeding academically, but we weren't the nerdy brainy types you probably think we were.

It is all about balance. If you saw me in high school you might assume I was going nowhere in life. But look where I am now. You can do anything, and so can anyone. Not judging people is really important.

Yeah it's about time!

The Peoples Republic of Maryland did indeed have decent schools. Mine were in Baltimore County.
Of course, that was back in the 60s and 70s, so things are likely somewhat different.
I was a mostly B-C student, but did pretty well on the SAT; enough to get into Georgia Tech. I'm not working in my degree field(s) (BS Industrial Management and a Psych certificate), BUT they have helped me a fair amount when understanding the whys behind a lot of current events, and the people I'm trying to help get their jobs done.

For UCR it looks like you only need a minimum 3.0. That means you probably NEED a 3.5 or better though.

They have a 56% acceptance rate and an average GPA of 3.78. Their SAT standards seem a bit low, but they make up for it by needing GOOD GPAs.

Ermmm, end of Junior Year... Starting it now.... I have a 3.3-ish... really bad sophomore year. I could probably bring it up to a 3.5 total for the 10-12 thing.... Not sure...
I already know the requirements... just wondering what you guys think.

I haven't done Junior year yet though..

Oh yeah, I can't find Secure boot... I spent half an hour in there trying to find it in three menus... GPU should be here before 7

PC isn't posting or booting with new GPU... No matter what I have rhe video connected too. The lights turn on. Fans work, etc, but no display...

Edit: I had the VGA plugged in wrong on the GPU. It goes in both ways and only one works. >.<
