Well in a case like the Define R4 Blackout edition, which I have, the windows are already tinted. You would need some bright lights to see the colors clearly through the tinting. You could always get an LED light strip like the NZXT Hue and a fan controller and go through that way. But a glass that actually changes color - you might be defying the laws of physics there.

Raidmax? Kill it with fire!

Before I had compressed air, what I did was use a napkin or a damp cloth, (baby wipes, or antibacterial wipes work), and just wipe down everything first with the damp cloth and then the dry one, it really helps. Also, some people try cleaning their rads without removing it and they end up clogged with dust, as some spots just cant be reached without removing the cooler. I'd buy compressed air tbh, look for it if you have a local costco, got a 6 pack for $15. It sounds like its cleaning time haha

With my cpu/mobo upgrade i'm also getting a new cpu cooler. Could you leave some recommendations that aren't over $60ish dollars?

Man, that would annoying to hear everyday. But then again, being inside a case, and the case being on the floor could drown out a ton of the noise.

A good reason why I prefer air.

If you can find a NH-D14 somewhere for $60, I would go with that. I have seen them drop in prices.

I use http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2478892/alternatives-hyper-212-evo-budget-cooling.html as a list of alternative coolers. Some of the Raijintek models look good. Too bad the Gaia seems to have vanished. Xigmatek may have other models, but some of them are also more expensive than they should be.

BTW I don't think I've ever bought Raidmax anything. They seem to have been labeled "Chokemax" for a reason. Based on others' comments, however, their case quality is probably in the same league as Apevia. This suggests some nice designs, but executed so poorly and with such substandard materials and QA they they are useless.

We use extremely poor quality PC cases where I work from crap brands like Apevia, Raidmax and Ultra, and I've told my boss this multiple times about how horrible these cases and power supplies are, yet they still buy this garbage. We could save so much money per year if we started using quality cases and power supplies from manufacturers like Corsair, EVGA and Seasonic, but I feel like they don't listen to me. My Corsair 500R has been rock solid since the day I got it and I don't plan to use anything else.

Corsair has fallen off my tier 1 list. Their PSUs (for obvious reasons), cases (personal experience), RAM (overpriced and the pioneers of the HUGE pointless heatsink), case fans (AF/SP - had MANY fail) are all just bested by someone else on the market for less money.

I prefer not to support a company that lies on their packaging (v1 and v2 CX PSUs), and sells second rate stuff as top quality (PSUs again). I do like their mice quite alot, but that is it.

My old family computer that has a Sapphire radeon x550, and a pentium 4 was using a Raidmax PSU. I didn't know when I was a kid, I played a ton of games on it, but the PSU somehow survived on that machine.

I decided to check out the x550, so I removed the cooler, and the paste it was using looked like.....bubble gum? It was pink, and stretched like it when I removed the cooler.

Someone on reddit made this list of tiers.

I don't understand why people use the CX series on such high end builds. Because it's corsair, their PSU's must be the best of the best I guess.

The K70 keyboard I got is amazing, I have no plans to return it. I agree about the RAM but their cases I've never had issue with and their PSUs except for the CX I've never had issue with.

Older AMD stock coolers came with something similar looking.

I read it was like a wax that melted to fill any gaps and conducted good enough for the application. It was pink or yellow depending on the time it was picked up.

It would be pretty hard when cold too(you would scrape it off the cooler).

My 300r has has its share of issues. PWR LED died (replaced by me with working LED), front panel not sitting flush (bent metal clips from the factory.

I can't stand their fans either. I have had 4 SP120s and THREE have failed (clicking at any speed) within 6 months of owning.

I'll never use a stock cooler with an AMD CPU again - I've lost more than one CPU that way.

Yeah. But they could stop it with the different formatting maybe? I would claim copyright. Has anyone alerted Dottorrent?

Edit: I pm'ed him with sever links, reddit search, the post, the image, etc... Not sure if he knows about this but just in case...

I missed a lot while I was at friday prayer lol.

Onus - Thanks for making me laugh so hard xD

Gunit - I Dont really mean change colors, I mean like a tint that changes ONE color to one color ONLY so you would have to get a specific panel for each color...ok this is too confusing to explain. CASE CLOSED.

Tiny - Copyright? Seriously? Dude, SUE THE %$#@ERS!!!

Which AMD coolers G?

When I had the 965BE the stock cooler it came with was great. Looked like this:http://mla-d1-p.mlstatic.com/4381-MLA3589258629_122012-F.jpg and ran the CPU locked at 4ghz no problem at all. I though it was a great stock cooler.
