Can I switch out *every* component from a x99 motherboard into a x299 motherboard?
Follow-Up Question -----> I'm sorry, i meant; Memory, Video card(s) and CPU mostly. So the X299 chip set is a fix to the X99 chip set? Yes I know that X299 accepts Intel's newest CPU but doesn't the X99 have some sort of limitation to the advertised number of USB and SATA ports that it was supposed to handle? I think I read that MSI was quoted as saying the problems with their USB ports was actually due to the X99 chip set.
