[SOLVED] The optimize feature in Windows 10 and defragmenter

I had some stability issues with my laptop in the last month. I had frequent disconnects from the internet, while the other home PC and laptop, had none.

I maintain that the Windows 10 optimization feature does not help stability issues whereas defragmentation does. I downloaded the free defragmentation program, Defraggler, which has helped significantly. If the optimizer has built-in defragmenter, it doesn't seem to be working.

Maybe others can relate to this? Regards.

There was a problem with optimizer late last year where it was running on SSD every day, they may have disabled it temporarily to stop it doing that.

I use defraggler as I like to be able to watch it... im old, I used to like watching defrag, windows has taken all the things I used to fill in time doing away from me.

I question how defrag fixes the internet?

I do too, but it's no coincidence that my laptop has better internet stability since I started using Defraggler.

SFC/System File Checker was very useful. I remember the old days with Windows 7 and using the thorough scan disk feature.
