windows 10 clean install (updates up to date)
crucial bx200 240GB (firmware uptodate, ahci mode)
asus m5a99fx pro r2.0 (bios up to date)
amd fx8350
16gb ram

system freezes with 100% disk usage for about a minute. the intervals are varying.

... so, i deactivated superfetch (yes in the registry as well), BITS, windows indexing service, sharing my updates, file compression. i also tried this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3083595. windows tips are disabled as well, defender too ... it'not chrome, nor flash ... have been tweaking the pagefile ... no result

i still can't figure out what process ist causing it because the task manager just shows 100% disk usage, but no service seems to have such a huge impact on the disk. even this tool https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processmonitor does not really identifiy which process is causing this.

1. is there a tool that really shows what process is messing up my disk?
2. i got the impression, this occurs mostly late at night. so it might be a scheduled task? (so looking forward to flicking through windows autoscheduled nonsense-tasks)
3. worst case: could the disk be damaged?

thanks for your help.
