The search box does not appear in windows 7 Starter

Hi,

simple question. My Dell 1100 notebook has Windows 7 Starter installed. I know that in this system the search function works in the form of a search box which appears when clicking the start icon. However, the box has never appeared. I have been suggested by some acquaintances that the search box is not pre-installed in Windows 7 Starter. But, as a matter of fact, I have seen that it is indeed as you can gather from visiting the Microsoft page.
I will appreciate any help in this issue. Please, let me know if you need more information.

Try right-clicking on the start ball and select properties. I believe there are setting for showing the "run" box and "search" box on the menu.
