Hello, everybody. I have recently been experiencing stuttery wifi. After contacting my ISP, BT, about this issue, they got me to access the settings for my router online. I went into Settings > Wireless. I was then told that I should switch my channel from the automatically selected channel 1, to channel 6. I was assured that this would work. I haven't had chance to properly test it so I will assume it has worked for now.

Making this change has made me unable to connect to my network on my laptop running Windows 7. When I view the available networks, mine has a red "X" rather than the usual green bars. Clicking on my network results in me getting a "The settings saved on this computer does not match the requirements for the network" error message.

I have tried to get in touch with BT again for assistance with solving the issue. They aren't helping because all of my other devices are working fine with wifi. Pretty disappointed that I followed the exact instructions given by my ISP which created another error, which they refuse to help with. Regardless, that isn't relevant. Thank you for reading and I hope I can get some advice for this rather strange issue!
