[SOLVED] The Sims 3 Launcher not responding

I can't download anything from the sims 3 exchange because when i click the "download" button, my launcher suddenly stops responding. however, i can play the game but i also want to download content from the site. can you help please?

What version of OSX are you running, (Lion?, Snow Leopard?) what internet browser are you using (safari?, firefox?)
Also to clarify, is the "download" button inside the sims 3 launcher window or is it located in a web browser?

Well, its Lion and I am using Safari. And the download button is located in the web browser.

What I would do is download firefox and try using that web browser, I have found myself that some applications won't run under safari, but work fine when run using firefox. (also check that your plugin's are up to date.)
