The Sims Deluxe

I have the sims deluxe edition for PC and im having problems installing it onto my laptop. it worked on my old comp but won't on the laptop, is it because my laptop is windows 7. i brought the game before windows 7 came out is this the problem and is there a way to make it work on windows 7?

Try installing it by right clicking the setup (Sims deluxe) and choose troubleshoot compatibility, it might help the problem.
