Hello!
My system is:
Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H
AMD Ryzen 3 2200G
AMD RX 460 GPU
32Gb Crucial Pro 3200 memory
Win 10 Home 64 bit

I tried to upgrade the CPU to an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G.
I removed the 2200g and replaced it with the 5600g, a fresh supply of thermal paste and a new cooler.
When I powered the system up I got 2 flashes of the HDD LED and then nothing.

I then read that if the system did not run reset the CMOS, so I reset the CMOS fitted a new battery and tried again.
This time not even a flash of the HDD LED, just nothing on the screen.
Then I disconnected all the drives, so it could only load to post again absolutely nothing.
I then removed the 5600g and put the 2200g back reconnected everything and the system fired up straight away.
Any idea what I did wrong or is the 5600g faulty?
Cheers

The 5600G is supported by your motherboard since bios version F55. The latest version is F56f. You should update the bios to the latest version and try again.

Flayed, thanks for the reply, however, I can't update the bios via the app centre.
It says I have to have the latest version of @bios. I have downloaded the @bios from the Gigabyte website and restarted my machine but got the same message. If I try and update from a server I'm only offered F52.

If you can't update the bios using the app centre you will have to do it using the Q-Flash utility. Have a look at this document it should explain what you need to do:

Flayed, Thanks for the info i have updated the Bios to 56F.
The process was totally diferent to the document you sent.
It was much easier to use, I'll retry the processor tomorrow.
