the thing help me

I am nearing the end of the thing, but the game keeps stopping and i am getting a message saying "Microsoft visual c++ runtime library. runtime error! program: c:\progra~1\comput~1\thethi~1\bin\theng.exe." What does this mean and can i do anything to fix it.
