[SOLVED] "The video driver has run out of memory . . . . ." ?

I played a game of Wolfstein ll: the new colossus and gets error message:
The video driver has run out of memory of dedicated video memory. Please lower the video qality profile and restart the game to ensure stability and performance.

What does that mean and is there anything other than setting the video quality to medium ---> low?
Driver and bios is updated.

-emolevy: Asus rog strix x570-f gaming
-muisti: DDR4 32gt

It means the video card ran out of memory to work with to render the game. However, the 1660 Super should have plenty for this game.

Can you go into Settings -> System -> Display -> Advanced Display Settings -> Display adapter properties and post a screen shot of the window that pops up? It looks like this

I’m really surprised that a 1660 super ram out of vram on that game at 1080p. Sorry to ask but where did you get this game? It’s not a pirate/cracked copy?

Call of Duty did this in the past. It's a memory leak in the software of the game.

A look on the internet suggests that the game has memory leaking issues as @MrN1ce9uy says. So you can either live with the game crashing periodically, or if you really want to continue with it, lower the graphics settings which will delay the inevitable, but at least they're less frequent.

Thanks your answers.Yes, you can continue the game with higher graphics settings as long as you accept the message: accept and mute further Warnings. The game doesn't actually crash..
