So i have a helios 300 acer gaming lappy from 2019 and im having an issue in game where the W key doesnt unregister and my character or cursor keeps moving forward for about 5-6 seconds if i have pressed the w key for about 15- seconds or longer. Its not physically stuck,it just thinks im still pressing it when im not. And its Only in games, i tried composing an email n held the w key down for a minute and it stopped registering when its supposed to.
Ive played state of decay,skyrim,warhammer 2,its the same with all of them. Under load my cpu and gpu do get quite hot,like 90-95c,idk if its got anything to do with that. But its highly annoying. Ive downloaded new drivers,updated windows,nothing works. Could it be somekinda gpu or cpu lag or something? Why would it only be the W key then? Cause i held the S key down(going backwards) and no issues there. It started happening about a month ago randomly. Idk of any new apps ive installed that could mess with anything. Any ideas?
