Whenever I try to load an executable file, the message above (in the thread) comes up.

Dosx.exe in not in Windows7, try XP mode.

Iif you have 64 bit windows, it can't run 16 bit programs. Note that some 32 bit programs actually use a 16 bit installer. These also won't run on a 64 bit windows system.
