[SOLVED] Thermal compound question

Building a new computer with a Ryzen processor. I bought a cpu cooler even though it included one. I forgot that Ryzens come with thermal compound on the cooler. I need advice. Should I use the stock one for now with the compound, or would the other one be safe. I’m 97% thinking the correct answer is the stock one, just didn’t know how much thermal compound really has on a computer.

a new cooler should come with compound, whether boxed with a CPU or purchased alone.
if I understand you correctly, you have two coolers, only one has thermal paste?
I would apply the stock cooler and wait for the proper application of thermal paste.

The stock compound with the stock cooler will suffice until you get a new cooler and put your own paste on the CPU.
