thinking about delidding my 8086k, how long does conductonaut usually last on a delidded processor? will it need reapply after a few years or more? thanks

Use the liquid metal on inside and,conductonaut between IHS and cooler.

Conductonaut is the liquid metal. Kryonaut is the paste. I'm not sure how long the LM will last, so good question.

*I've delided and I personally don't recommend it. Sure, you gain good temps but you don't really gain much speed. You're already at 5.0GHz. That's all you need. Too many things can go wrong. What about when you want to sell it? It's just a messy thing to do.

The only proof,ive seen tested so far is 1 year, youd have to look,for more testing as its available.

Take that with a grain of salt, they stand to make money from their process, so they are going to tell you it lasts quite a while.

It "should" last years. You should also,notice your thermals,increase if it starts needing a redo.
