Question Thermal pad size for DELL inspiron N5110 GPU chip

Hi,
I have missed the intel ICH thermal pad from my friends laptop while opening it But not sure which size fits in it, especially the thickness so it could contact the ICH chip and metal (heat sink)

Just one large enough to cover the core, maybe 1.5cm x 1.5cm.

No need to cover the PCB around the core.

Thickness is not important, just use the one with higher W/m-k rating.

but the fact is this ICH chip heat sink is the laptop's palm-rest (inside metal sheet covered )so it should have specific size to contact the chip and palm rest. palm rest settled on backcover of the laptop.
if it has separate heat sink then no need for thickness.

In this case you can use the thickest pad that you can find.

Or 2 x 2mm pads will do the job as the pressure will make them stick together.

Hello there. I'm using the same computer and lowered the CPU temperature with thermal paste. But the thermal pads around the graphics card are quite old and dusty. The temperature issue persists as I haven't changed them. What thickness do I need to buy to replace these pads? 1mm or 1.5mm or 2mm?
