Thermal Paste on Hard Drive?

Just ordered a Koolance water cooling case. Didn't opt for the HD cooling kit. I've seen online pictures and instructions on how to mix and apply that heat conductive paste between the hd and the cooler. What if you should ever want to remove it? Is that paste like permanently bonded or can it be easily removed?

what mixing are you going to be doing?? what type of paste are you using?
if it's a retail thing, it will say adhesive if it will bond the two things together, otherwise you can assume it will not. if its your own concoction, then what's in it?

Thermal paste should stay soft all the time, while thermal adhesive/epoxy gets hard.
