Yeah the main prob is i have about $100 a month spare cash... and the WC is 900.... so i'm down for a long time. This had to happen right as school is winding down and I have alot of free time. Hmmm. Back to Jack Daniels LOL. 8O
 
Ya those 404 point gromacs can really kill your 24 hour avg. They drive me nuts. On a more positive note, I just got some arctic silver 5 so I plan on possibly doing some overclocks soon.

I too have a WC setup all planed out but don't really have the cash to do it the way I want to just yet. My setup won't quite be as much as SuperFly03's but last time I priced it, it was around $500. Anyway, for the time being I guess I'll just have to stick with my $5 tube of Arctic silver 5.
 
Well my $1000 (with all the damned hoses and fluids) is composed of a case costing $350 so if you break it all down my WC will only be $650 which isn't that much more than yours.

I am just tired of trying to get by in a Koolance prebuilt setup. I just recently found out my coolant flow rate is the worst I've ever heard of. I'm getting metal joints, metal clamps, hardcore pumps and bolting the sh!t to my new case. There is no way anything will move this time around hehe.

Side Note: Looks like my main rig (sig rig) is down until mid-may, DAMN.

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but our team is doing a pretty good job of holding off the threats. The Free Republic Folders are gaining less than 20,000 a day on average when they used to be gaining over the 20k every day. All I know is that our team seems to be getting stronger all the time. Keep up the folding!
 
So it seems EVGA doesn't abide by their own policy. I set up my step up program RMA on 3/24 and got an email confirming my RMA authorization for 14 days. I ended up shipping the cards on 4/20, nearly a month later. Not only that, I had a few screws missing from the KO cooler because I had water blocks on them and lost a few screws. Furthermore I had modded bios on them (i managed to reflash 1 before shipping), and 1 of the cards overvolted and died the day I shipped them.

And just 5 min ago I get an email from EVGA which said in essence "We fixed your sh!t and upgraded them like you wanted"

God I love eVGA 8O

we finally getting you back... well some of you, that's great to hear...

btw, do you overclock any of your "farming" rigs? that would make them more efficient on a Points Per Day basis wouldn't it? (anyway, i'm sure you've thought about this...)

If you can tell me how to increase the FSB or multiplier on a headless, diskless linux node with a Compaq BIOS & a Intel 810 chipset ( I think the BX chips were the OC'rs of their day), then I'm all ears 😉

It's good to be back, but it looks like most of the WU's were past thier deadline. It may be a few before we see any points. See you at the top 😀
 
All right! Good to have you back. Oh, and by the way, there are females that fold. My girlfriends computer folds for me, my mom's computer is going to be folding for me, my sisters computer will be folding for me.... well you get the idea 😀 . Anyway, glad to hear your ramping up production again.

i lost 2 WU's (which were half way done but nevertheless) due to (software) overclocking attempts (just for fun...)

Awsome to have you back man, I was just getting used to position 7 on our top producers list, but I'm glad to be bumped as long as its not my production going down. I'm looking forward to watching you rocket up the producers board.

P.S. If all your WUs are past DL then you can delete your work queues and directories to force the machines to pick up new WUs.
 
Actually, F@H deleted the old WUs for me. If anyone is interested, the boxes are running console version 5.04 under WINE.

I managed to salvage more WUs than I thought, so look for me in the top 5 by next week (hopefully the competition is getting rough out there 😉 and I haven't paid my electric bill in a while 😳 ).
 
That means something about your OC was unstable. I would be happy that you caught it with WU restarts instead of system instability or an application (or game) crashing at exactly the wrong time.
