Way to go !!! Im on the list too but im not sure where your at ? I may be adding a few more machines soon got 8-12 running now...

Lols. I'm Mehraan currently @ #120 and ur @106 But i'm comming up fast. got 7 CPUs at a private computer programming class to start Folding for me But they are only on about 2 hours a day so it might take them 2-3 weeks to start actually doing me any good

Bah, I used to run Folding@Home 24/7, because SETI used Bionic and I couldn't get it to work. But now I stopped caused Folding cause it screwed up my games, they wouldn't run fullscreen anymore.

if a project isn't listed on the stanford website (Protein: p776_vln3.8nopbc (776)) does it mean that it's an experimental project?

I've just joined your team with my 1.47 Ghz AMD Athlon XP machine. Friday I'll be adding a 3.66 Ghz Pentium D 805 with *maybe* a PIII 350 Mhz to follow (depending if I want to take the time to add that to my network).

is anyone having trouble submitting work units?

my computer comunicates with the server but i get "deadline not recieved" and no work is done

anyone else?

Ara

Ok so i was running two folding @ homes on my 805. and i noticed on wasn't doing any work. So i exited it out and started it bac up. and it said

"Folding@home Core Shutdown: CLIENT_DIED"

!??!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!
what does this mean, and i guess its bad. what should i do?

I don't know what that means but that may actually be an improper shut down. Try making sure that each instance has a different Machine ID (you need two copies of the program including the entire directory, don't copy the work folder).

Hey guys,

Me and my modest 3200+ are IN!
I don't expect to be at top 10 - hell I don't expect to reach top 100!
However, I hope that my humble effort will help humanity, will help a sick person... that's what matters to me!

Glad to be on board with you guys,
hope I will bring you guys nothing but pride and honor :)

Best reasons to do it in my mind. :)

Welcome to the team (Am I allowed to say that ? lol)

Hey everybody i'm finally posting this because Our points are becoming alarmingly low. From 5.06{may} (peak point performance) we've been going on a Downward slide, We're producing almost 150K less than our last peak! 3 months ago. And i've not been recieving any worthwhile projects with decient points. And i'v ealso taken a look at our points per-day chart http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_summary.php?s=&t=40051
and we're slipping everyday We're going from 33K per day to 21K per day. Whats going on? Are too many people disable their computers just to wait until they get their Core 2 DUos or their Price slashed AMD or their Dirt cheap PDs?

*smack*!
and to some Reagan-Admirers!
well at least our next threats are a few years of...
have you seen our production history chart on EOC's site lately? it looks quite wild!
@Ara: how's your family, by the way? everything allright?

fortunately, everything worked out fine, my mom got here about a week ago (via syria) after my uncle got married (which was she stayed there for much longer then me (she wanted me out so she could know i was safe and all))
i missed the wedding, but i have quite a few pictures of it and looked like it went well

all of my extended family is alright as far as i know

Ara

PS: the reagan dudes were gonna pass us one way or another

hahah, just wait until i submit 2 very special WU (about 380 points each) although i'm gonna look like i'm slacking for the next few days, it'll still be cool to have a massive jump in the submissions i, well, submit: 0 0 0 0 0 760 ........

Ara - not replying to you, just using your post as it is the last one in this thread.

ATI Owners:

Tech Report reports Folding@Home will take advantage of ATI graphics processing power in the near future. Folding@Home claims performance of 100 gigaflops per computer will be achieved by taking advantage of ATI’s graphics processing power. ATI GPU support appears to only be for R5xx series of graphics processors according to the Folding@Home high performance client FAQ. The GPU powered Folding@Home client runs considerably faster on R580, Radeon X1900, X1950 series, than R520, Radeon X1800 series, most likely due to the R580’s 48 pixel shaders.
