i remember when the first thief came out. it was impressive because of its use of shadows and the ammount of control you had. it was the first game i played where you could lean around corners. and all the arrows you could use, the moss arrows so you could walk accross the stone floors, and water arrows to put out candles lol. it was really cool because it was really interactive with the environment.

Nice game, gameplay a notch too slow for my taste. Graphics are good but not topnotch, based on unreal2 technology. I prefer thief gameplay over Splinter Cell gameplay (but I like SplinterCell 3 gfx better, especially with SM3.0).

Yes I agree nothing topnotch, but still an excellent game.

It's not a bad game. The game engine needs a lot of work, because it uses a tremendous amount of processing power. Far above and beyond what it needs.

In terms of graphics, it's not quite as smoothly animated as the first two games, or many other games for that matter.

I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first two games. To be honest, I think it was the console-ish-ness of it that I did not like.

Your talking about the first couple Thiefs? They were horrible. The graphics were in 256 colors. I don't see how they were in any way better....

There is no way the game shows a console type format. When it was designed for PC. I don't see where your views are making any sense. I'll have to disagree with everything you said. Except that there might be a game that's better in graphics.<---Why of coarse this would be true.

I like to add that any processing in the game is just fine on my comp. It runs GREAT!, but if I misunderstood you on what you meant by "it uses a tremendous amount of processing power" I'd like you to explain better.
