Thief: DS Poor ATi Performance???

I purchased Thief: Deadly Shadows a couple of weeks ago, and I've noticed that in certain scenes the framerates drop wayyy below 30 FPS. Has anyone else here played this game on ATi cards? I'd like to see the nVidia performance for comparison. I am using a 9800 Pro, and I haven't experienced any performance issues with any other games. The problem seems to occur mostly when there are multiple light sources in a scene...

It use the same engine as Deus Ex:IW, so the frame rate is nothing to admire......

I know theif 3 was just a bad port!, its was horrible, never port from a console to a pc, nV's cards have problems with it too. The 6800 series was getting in the frame rates in the teens. Never saw a single game perform well when thats done. Even Halo was hacked up pretty bad.

Ion Storm seemed to really rush it.

Where did you get the idea that Thief 3 is a port?

It was in one of the gamespy reviews, if it wasn't a port the engine is just really poorly made

I don't think that it was a port. If I'm not mistaken, the Ion Storm engine that powers it was designed to work with PC and XBox at the same time. Jack of all trades, master of none.
