I'm thinking of getting a gaming PC, I don't want to spend too much but I want to spend enough to make sure it runs most games at a decent frame rate. If I got a PC with these specs (AMD FX-4 4300 3.8GHz CPU, AMD 760G Motherboard, 8gb of ram, amd radeon r9 280 graphics card and a 450 watt power supply)
what frame rate would it run next gen games at?

Solution
1º I think that psu is really small for an amd 280, what psu you have? you should look into that.
2º Im asumming you will be playing at 1080p
3º In most games you will run around 40 fps and far cry, metro and crysis, around 30 fps or maybe less.

the processor isn't very good look into the FX 6300 or even the 8320, power supply is a bit small, that card is recommended to have a 500w minimum so maybe look at a 500-600w psu, and please don't get a cheap one, they will break everything in your pc or break within a week if not both

Out of all of these id perso nally go with the g3258 build as it does great for current games, and when you start seeing it not givin the performance you need just swap in an i5/i7, or swap mobo + cpu + ram when skylake comes out (This will be the next big step in tech in which ddr4 starts to become standard)

It really just comes down to what games you are looking to play the most whther its crysis 3 type games, in which a stronger gpu is needed, or planetside 2 type games where a stronger cpu is needed. And if you have no budget just go overkill on both for guaranteed satisfaction across all games.
