Thinking of upgrading my PC

I’m currently thinking of upgrading my PC and I’m having trouble thinking of which parts to get.

i7-7700K + GTX 1070 Ti

or

i5-8400 + GTX 1080

I play a lot of pubg.

go for 1080 and 8400

The 1080 from Newegg is a better value than the Ti.

That means I can only recommend the 7700K with the 1080.
