Thinkpad T430 RAM upgrade problem

I have a thinkpad T430 with 4GB RAM, I had an extra 4GB of Kingston DDR3 RAM too with which I am attempting to upgrade the secondary slot if my t430 but my laptop gives a black screen although for a few times it did recognize the RAM but not anymore. I tried snugly fitting the RAM, tried removing BIOS battery so that it could reset it but nothing seems to work. Image of my RAM is given below.
Kindly suggest me something.
