For recording you use software on PC, you don't need an Elgato for it. I've chosen a powerful cpu and 16gb RAM for this purpose. I also choose color-fitting components for the build.

I've changed the storage to 1TB, as anything above tends to fail faster. Instead I've compensated it with a 250GB SSD. You can't miss an SSD in your build nowadays.

The GTX 970 will run anything at 1080p flawlessly.

The elgato is for console gaming.
And thanks
But we need the elgato so any other build with the elgato for around the same price?

Yours that is, the GTX 970 however is significantly faster. I can improve the build by sacrifising the H440 for a much better case. Is that okay or does he absolutely prefer it? With the Phanteks Enthoo Pro you'll pay 45 dollars less but it is quite the better case and It's a full tower aswell with some good onboard case fans.

- Replaced the i5-4690k with the Xeon E3-1231.
Pros: It's an i7-4790 without onboard graphics. Will boost rendering performance and streaming/recording performance with hyper threading
Cons: It can't be overclocked

The motherboard I've chosen is overclockable though for an eventual upgrade in the future.

He says the h440 is a must (he is a very big razer fanboy)
