No DEC Alpha's? If I had a collection, that would be exactly where I would start.

That's a lot of chips! But too bad he doesn't have any of the more interesting processors, like DEC Alpha, SGI MIPS, Fujitsu SH, HP PA-RISC, Sun SPARC, etc. These are the chips that cost more than most new cars back when they were sold, but can be had for pennies today on ebay. They have materials and build quality that makes intel / AMD stuff look like trash by comparison.

[citation][nom]bachok83[/nom]what's with the rug on the wall?[/citation]
First of all, a nice persian rug is worth more than the most high-end core i7 pc anywhere. Those rugs are very expensive. They're also very dense and heavy, and they're made of wool. There are two reasons you commonly see them hanging on walls in the middle east (and Russia). One is for insulation. The construction of many buildings there is very poor, and very cold in winter time. Heavy wool rug on the wall keeps it warmer inside during the winter. Secondly, for noise. Again, due to very crappy building construction, if you live in a shared building, like apartment, you'll get a LOT of noise from your neighbors. Heavy dense rug on the wall cuts down the noise dramatically. I used to live in eastern europe and it's a very common sight in peoples homes there.

That is surely a lot of processing power...
If am right, processor pins are made of gold!
That would surely be a good lump of gold.....

good luck with the assembly

Yes, that's the shit. The best ever.

[citation][nom]liquidsnake718[/nom]Ah, Im happy to see that one of his original processors are made in my country. the Philippines...[/citation]

Its made in Laguna, sadly they are closed now and transferred to China.

..... An Intel 8085 processor made in the Philippines?...... *head asplods*

He even had those relabeled processors, certainly an impressive history of processors, even the bad ones.... :)

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]Not true[/citation]

Actually, considering that you can get a midranged model for a mere $100-200 now yes it is. Not to mention it costs a less to manufacturer.

In Communist Russia, CPU-chip buys you!

Unless you're this guy...

He's got a few DX50 chips and a DX2-66, though in the early 90's there was a fabled "DX66" (and I also heard of a DX2-100) - though, never found out for sure. I need to break out my old DX50 + DX2-66 to bench-mark 'em (got some old AMI boards); the 50mhz bus SHOULD run faster than the DX2-66.
Also, I still have my old 808x and 286 boards (too sentimental to get rid of...) same goes with my Atari 800 + 800XL =D
