I know what you mean. Its probably something like a 9.7" screen which they just market as a 10". Its starting to get like hard drives!
Sweet.. WebOS on a tablet is very cool.
I love my Pre Plus.. but i was envious of the ipad... now i can feel included.. I know its stupid.. but i cannot bring myself to buy an apple product.. i have used the ipad and the iphone.. both are awesome.... i just cannot bring myself to buy one. I am very excited.
palm peopel are a definate minority now.. but i'm excited, i'd love a WebOS tab... though on the phone front they need to do somethign fast cause the palm pre 2... quite frankly is terrible just a palm pre origional with a faster clock speed
Too little too late for HP. No matter how good it is. Apple has had the iPad out for over a year and its close to coming out with a second generation. How does any of these companies expect to give Apple such a head start and still think they can compete? That would be hard with any product but coming from Apple? Its almost impossible. HP's internal struggles have pretty much killed themselves and I am not sure they have the ability to face the music when it comes to competing with Apple. Non of what I saw at CES would lead me to believe it can de thrown Apple's iPad.
Question: is the market really going to support this many APP marketplaces (WebOS, iPhone and Android, windows, etc)? If not: Which one(s) do developers do most of their development for? Which platforms do developers develop for first? Which platform dies first?
I am seeing some orphan products in the next few years. HP is notorious for creating orphan products.
I've had a palm pre for 15 months (I'm counting the days until I can change contract) and I will never again buy anything running WebOS.
The hardware is pretty dire but the software is just terrible. I cannot comprehend how some of the faults got through any sort of testing phase. For example, the document viewer cuts off the edges of a standard A4 page so when I get quotes from suppliers, I can read the whole document..... except the numbers on the far right hand side. Useful.
I love my Palm Pre Plus, waiting for a newer version with a larger screen to come out. I would get this tablet in a heartbeat if it has a decent office app. I much prefer WebOS over iOS or Android.

Apple was also very late to the world of slates and were able to succeed.
Name it the HP Palm Pilot. People remember that name. When I bought a Pre two years ago I think three people asked "Palm? as in Palm Pilot? is that the new Palm Pilot?"
