CPU: intel i5 4690k 3.5ghz 4-core (TDP 88w)
mobo: Asus Z97-P ATX
GPU: GT 440 (recommended 300w)
RAM: Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM

so my last pickle here is the psu, is it alright if I get one of the evga 700B series? it's like 750w 80+ bronze, or maybe just a evga psu at like 500w/600w, what do y'all recommend?

Keep in mind that i'm already reaching my budget limit and the gpu I have is one i've had for a few years now and I've recently bought a Bitfenix Nova (windowed), even so without it the total is still pretty high.

What games are you thinking to play? If you can wait, I would. Never a good idea to spend $$ on cheap, unreliable parts. Budget savings should only be so much of a concern in my opinion. Like I say though, you...

Use this lList as a reference for good quality PSU's. Don't skimp when it comes to your PSU. More trouble than it's worth.

The GT 440 won't work. If you are strapped for cash and need the cheapest of the cheap, consider buying used items, especially a used CPU. I bought 2x GTX 560 Ti's for $80 (40 each). Bought a GTX 770 4gb for $100 even. All work great. Just make sure you have the owner test it for you to make sure you don't get a dud.

I literally cannot afford anything else, it's either buy the psu and stick with the gpu I got, or wait till I can afford a better psu along with a decent gpu, the reason I chose the mobo and cpu I did is because they're good mid-range sets so I won't have to replace them till a good while

I might be able to upgrade my gpu later in the year, would it be best to have a low quality psu with this build or buy a 700w psu ready for when I get a new gpu, which will probably be a 970 (or 980 if I'm lucky)

Like I say though, you may want to try buying the CPU and mobo used to find some more savings. I highly recommend getting a better GPU. Go AMD if you can't afford intel.
