It's a shame that the in-game graphics aren't as impressive as the cinematic trailers. Blizz needs an upgrade, especially now that Guild Wars 2 is coming out! 😛

Ok, credit where credit is due, very good opening cinematic, had suspense, drama and humour all rolled into one (love the details in the animation too) - would seriously love to see this team make a movie, got some very talented people working it. Pity about the game though...

The Pandarian(Pandas) were a race from Warcraft III RTS game... long before WOW.

I completely agree! Ive only ever played the free up to lvl 20 of WOW but from what ive heard, the story is pretty awesome. Why not just make a 30-40 minute movie per expansion to help drive the story? This was very well put together and I think that would help sell more copies, not just for WoW but pretty much any game.

Thanks for these wow update toms! ppl should try to put their thinking caps on and realise that anything that happens to something with 10 million subscribers is news. As for the ppl with panda gripes, u will always get ppl with the mindset that "oh this is just kung fu panda, not cool, so lame, will never work." They try to make it out as so uncool, well that is just following the trend in forums and is not very cool at all. The truth is, fighting pandas are cool, it speaks to peoples imagination, alot of ppl cant wait for this expansion to roll a panda, clearly this is a winning formula,wait and see. Only kids play wow? Might as well say only kids play games,that is clearly not true. I am a married man and play regularly with my wife, as does many of my friends and even a few
work colleagues. I don't know why there is this rage\agenda against wow and trying to paint it as a kids game for loosers that no cool person would dare play. sounds liek those are the kids to me. If you don't like the game,that's your thing,ignore it and move on with your life.The rest of us enjoy the game and are interested in whatever news comes our way,thanks again tom!

As usual, Blizzard makes another amazing CG video... however, the intro itself shows NOTHING other than a fight (and a stupid one at that where Horde and Alliance join to fight a Pandaren when in-game Pandaren will be available for both horde and alliance).

Putting it simple, amazing CGI, stupid lore. Lore has been dead since Blizz+Activision decided to milk their users with allowing unreasonable race+class combo and charging race change, faction change, etc and nerfing horde racials so everyone pays for the faction change and all aliance for a race change.

I think it is a move for WoW's Asian fans since many play WoW. Not a bad idea!

So the trailer shows the Pandaren fight both sides, which is correct......since both sides can be Pandaren...so that little complaint makes no sense.

Give me a break....people look for anything to complain about. This will appeal to enough players to keep their player base high. They are trying to branch out, and start new storylines in the lore, instead of rehashing WC1-3 like the last 3 expansions did. And as for Panda's in WoW? They were in WC3's expansion....and just like the Tauren originally were, Pandaren were a 'joke' race....Blizzard is known for using popular memes and rumors and making them true...(cough *cow level* cough).
