Okay I have the Avantree Audikast Plus Audio Transmitter, plus a pair of Monoprice Bluetooth headphones. I've looked through the manual for the headphones and there is one specific thing they talk about that I am confused about.

In the owner's manual under the Bluetooth Pairing they mention this:

Locate and select the MP43252 entry. If prompted for a passcode, enter 0000. Once connected, the LED indicator will flash blue for once every 10 seconds.

I have watched the Avantree video and it does not mention this specific thing at all.

I have not the faintest idea what they are talking about with this MP43252 entry.

The video makes the whole process seem pretty simple and straightforward.

Just wondering if anyone here knows what is with this MP43252 entry business.

It sounds like you have not yet tried to connect his system. You may have NO problems at all. In general, when you first hook up a transmitter and receiving device in Bluetooth, the transmitter asks for a Password, and you can enter that if you have been given it by the maker of the receiver. BUT often the transmitter device assumes that the password is the common default value of "0000" and tries to complete the pairing operation using that. If that works, then there is no issue and it may not even try to ask for a password.

In your case, OP, the transmitter does not even have any way to display a query or accept input. So it must be designed to complete the pairing process without any of this. The headphones you bought do not know that, so they provide you with the password in case you are working with a different type of receiver that wants that. You don't need it.

What you do need is to make the headphones enter Pairing Mode the first time you connect it all up. Fortunately, the headphones will do this automatically. I found a manual for these headphones. In it a table of functions for buttons says:

BUTTON OPERATION

Power Switch

Power on

With power off, slide the switch to the ON position. The voice prompt will say Power On.

If not already paired, the headphones will automatically enter Bluetooth® pairing mode. The Bluetooth LED Indicator will flash red and blue alternately, indicating that it is in Bluetooth pairing mode.

If already paired and the paired device is within range, the headphones will reconnect to the device.

So it all should just do the initial pairing operation by itself when you connect it all up and turn on. After that, every time you turn the system on it will hook up automatically with no delay or questions since it already HAS DONE the pairing operation and kept that in memory.
