Thoughts on new budget gaming PC build components and performance?

I'm building a new PC, for using Adobe Suite and gaming - what are peoples thoughts on this setup? I'm on a tight budget and also live in South Africa so components are quite pricey in comparison to US/UK.

(My best bet is purchasing from takealot.com)

Chassis - Coolermaster N500 ATX
CPU - Intel i3 4360 3.7Ghz
MoBo - MSI B85M-E45
Memory - Corsair Value Select A 1600Mhz (2 x 4gb)
GPU - Using an old Asus Nvidia 9500GT but will upgrade to a MSI R9 270X shortly
PSU - 500watt Gigabyte Powerock

Just wanting general thoughts on the performance of this rig for gaming etc?

Is that just in single core performance though? Will the i3's hyper-threading not give it a bigger boost when multi-tasking with applications? I don't know that much about this stuff so just curious
