[SOLVED] Thoughts on potential build

Hello, I'm new to pc building and i'd like a budget gaming build under 50,000 INR
Here are the components i'm thinking of using
CPU
Core i5-9400F

MOTHERBOARD

Gigabyte - H310M H

CPU COOLER

Stock - Stock Cooler

GPU

GTX1660 /GTX 1650

SMPS

Corsair - CX450

RAM

8x1 - Corsair Veng 8GB 2400

CASE

Corsair - Carbide spec 5

STORAGE

Seagate - Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm

Will i face any compatibility issues? Also are there better components to recommend in place of any of these?

Yes this will all work together no issues. A few thoughts though but I can see that you must be on a tight budget so I do understand:

1 - I would move heaven and earth to get a SSD as that will make the single biggest difference. Even something like this cheap and cheerful Kingston SSD at $27.00

2 - I would look to go at least 2 x 4GB RAM so that you have dual channel working for you. 2 x 8GB is very cheap now and for as little as $55.00....

3 - I would also look to try and up the motherboard to the cheapest Z390 so that later on you can upgrade to the better CPU's like the 9600K, 9700K and 9900K....This motherboard is a $114.00

Just my thoughts and hopefully other will jump in....You could probably also go the Ryzen 2nd gen route in the 2600 which will save you just a little bit over the 9400...

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm new to pc building, why doesn't the H310MH motherboard support those chipsets, doesn't the 9th generation processors all use the same lga 1151 socket?
Also would you recommend using ryzen instead as they all use the same sockets, currently, so it would be good for upgradeability?

Hi and no problems at all....As to the H310MH, yes it does support Intel 9th Gen and will work fine for the 9400F, the only reason I suggest the Z series is for longevity as you can upgrade later to a more powerful overclockable CPU like the 9600K, 9700K(F) and 9900K and F with support for better memory and USB type C and of course NVMe M.2 SSD's.

Of course it is not critical at all, especially if budgets are tight but it just gives you a better upgrade path.
