Hey Guys I am looking for Compatible Ram for
CPU 3995wx
Mobo WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI

I am looking about 512Gb ram
I dont know, but looks like ECC and RDIMM about the same... maybe someone explain better choice RAM for Workstation like 2d 3d loads..

8 x DIMM, Max. 2048GB, DDR4 3200/3000/2933/2800/2666/2400/2133 MHz ECC and Non-ECC, buffered and Un-buffered, U-DIMM, R-DIMM and 3DS R-DIMM

I found on the other forum guys actually running 512Gb Ram on Kingston
https://www.kingston.com/ru/memory/search/linemodel?model=102516

this is model Hynix
KSM32RD4/64HAR
and this is Micron chips
KSM32RD4/64MER

and also on kingston site those RAM seems like support this motherboard
Can anyone share some ideas what is the chips micron and hynix are better or any information about it

Also I found RAM by Samsung

RDIMM by Micron
M393A8G40AB2-CWE 3200Mhz 64Gb Micron (this is show configuration only for 1 Stick support... on Motherboards site Memory support)
RDIMM by Samsung
M393AAG40M3B-CYF 2933Mhz 128Gb Samsung

can anyone give some ideas about...
Never hear anything about Micron, but really often about Samsung and Kingston(and Kingston RAM are really more popular but what is better in quality really have no idea)

and Yeah on Motherboard site

Thanks in advanced
Cheers!

I only see the one chip on the tested/compatible list, and it does list socket support:
1,2,4,8

8x64 will get you 512GB.

SamsungM393A8G40AB2-CWEGQ

With nothing else to go on, just get 8 of those. Otherwise it means tracking down people who have tried other modules in that board.

@Eximo Thank You! I am just see about Socket support - really is helpful, and wierd thing is on asus website for this mobo you can not choose 64Gb x8 mode, its just no option for this...only 32Gb x8....
just select 64Gb and there we go its just one proposition! this is cool

Otherwise it means tracking down people who have tried other modules in that board.

yeah thats why I am here!
just try get maximum information

but how about Micron and Hynix... just interesting hear from professionals)
Cheers!

There really aren't that many DRAM manufacturers. As you can see by that listing, even the Samsung sticks appear to use Micron memory. Not sure that is accurate, but I have no real way of confirming that without seeing one.

Samsung, Micron, SK Hynix, Nanya are the only chips I have seen in the wild. Nanya seems to end up in Dell workstations regularly, sure they just go with the lowest bidder.

Samsung at ~%40%, SK Hynix at ~%30, Micron at ~%25 of the total market. I could see Samsung buying memory from Micron to meet demand, they certainly have the capacity to make lots of memory sticks.

Micron tends to be at the leading edge of GDDR memory, usually a few months ahead of Samsung if not more.

As for quality, it varies chip to chip and node to node. And amongst them they are graded, binned, and put into sticks appropriate to their quality. Oddly it is more often that you end up with a higher quality memory then you paid for, which is why overclocking tends to work.
